The season premiere in Gällivare is two weeks away and for Linn Svahn, much of the pre-season has been about rehabilitating the injured shoulder that she operated on in September.

- The rehab goes according to plan, she works hard there, says the Swedish cross-country national women's coach Stefan Thomson to SVT Sport.

The national team recently returned from the Italian Val Senales where the last high-altitude camp before the season took place.

There was no Svhan who stayed at home because of the shoulder.

"Tough injury she had"

When Linn Svahn is back in competition again and what we can expect from her this season is not something that Thomson wants to say about.

- It is hard to say.

It is a tough injury she had and now it is rehab that counts, so I say nothing about this season, he says.

Frida Karlsson also missed the camp in Italy.

The 22-year-old chose to stay at home to get more continuity in his training.

Karlsson stopped for a period during the pre-season from all competing and had to change his training plan because his body was worn out.

Positive message about Karlsson's form

In addition, she fell ill and missed the start of the high-altitude camp in France.

Now Karlsson is feeling well and Thomson is not worried about Karlsson's form before the premiere.

- She is fine.

She had a slightly tougher period at the beginning of the autumn where it was not quite right.

She was a bit worn and therefore she has been home now and driven on her own.

The situation is good now and the form is on the rise, so it looks positive towards the start of the season.

What is the situation otherwise in the Swedish troupe before the premiere?

- Everyone is in training and has been healthy and fit and done what they want in training like this in the autumn and towards the season.

And it is important that everyone feels that they can follow their plans.
