5 English clubs obtain approval to experience the return of "safe parking" in the stands
British Sports Minister Nigel Huddleston announced today, Monday, that five clubs will participate in the experience of the return of “safe parking” in the stands from January 1, 2022.

"I am pleased to agree to the participation of these five clubs at the beginning of the trial of allocating licensed parking areas during the second half of the season," Huddleston said in statements published by the British news agency "BA Media" today, Monday.
He added: "It is time to try out safe standing properly in the Premier League and the English Premier League, before deciding to implement it on a large scale."
He continued, "Safety is of paramount importance, and the Sports Stadiums Safety Authority is working hand in hand with clubs on this aspect."
The minister added, "Fans deserve different options for how they can enjoy attending the matches, and I will follow these experiences with interest."
The experiment will be monitored by the independent company "CFE Research", and its conclusions will be submitted to the government to decide on the application of safe parking on a large scale, starting from next season.
The ban was imposed by legislation passed after the 1989 Hillsborough disaster, which led to the deaths of 97 Liverpool fans.
