An exchange study was held in Togane City, Chiba Prefecture, where children from special schools told elementary school students about the appeal of "Boccia," which attracted attention at the Tokyo Paralympics.

This was done by the "Paraspo Promotion Team" made up of students from the Chiba Prefectural Togane Special Needs School, which was commended at the Tokyo Paralympics for activities to spread the appeal of parasports.

On the 5th, seven members visited Togane Municipal Komine Elementary School, explained the rules of boccia to sixth grade children, and then devised so that everyone can enjoy together regardless of disability or age. I introduced that the point is attractive.

Then, the practical skill was performed, and while the members of the propulsion team acted as referees, the children were happy and mournful, throwing one ball to get closer to the target white ball, and cheering when they knew the victory or defeat.

The girl child who participated said, "The explanation was easy to understand and I enjoyed it very much. The ball was unexpectedly heavy, but it was thrown well."

A male student of the promotion team said, "I was nervous, but I was conscious of speaking slowly. I think I was told that anyone can enjoy boccia."

The Paraspo Promotion Team will hold a similar exchange study at a junior high school in the city on the 30th of this month.
