A child under the age of 12 died after being run over during the celebration of the Ramtha club's fans, Thursday night, for winning the Jordanian Football League title at the expense of its counterpart Al-Wehdat in the final scene of the championship.
The Jordanian Al-Ghad newspaper reported that "the child was received on Thursday and Friday nights in the hospital, and the medical staff made efforts to save his life, but he passed away."
The irony is that the child is a fan of Al-Ramtha club, whose fans went into a state of hysteria after deciding the league title with a 1-1 draw with Al-Jazira.
It is the third coronation of Ramtha with the Jordanian League title and the first in nearly 40 years, which made the celebrations erupt in all parts of Jordan.
Sadness overcame the city of Ramtha after the accident.
