Yesterday morning, Sheikh Zayed Road turned into a huge cycle path, in a distinctive scene during the second session of the Dubai Bicycle Challenge, which was sponsored by the "DB Weld" group, attracting 32,750 participants of different ages, levels of fitness and physical abilities. The challenge was organized on both the 14-kilometre open track and the four-kilometre family track, as part of a unique sporting celebration, in which large numbers of families from Dubai residents and visitors were keen to participate, accompanied by their sons and daughters, of all ages.

Professional and amateur cyclists, aged 10 years and over, set out on a 14-kilometre course of five points, beginning on Sheikh Zayed Road and the Financial Center, passing the most famous landmarks of the city, including the Museum of the Future and Downtown Dubai. and Emirates Towers.

The second track, with a distance of four kilometers, was designated for families and children aged five years and over, to ride their bicycles.

As for the younger children, they were accompanied by their parents using the seats designated for them on the parents’ bikes, taking all safety precautions, as everyone enjoyed the most beautiful times, and the stunning views of the Burj Khalifa, which was lit specifically for this occasion under the sponsorship of Emaar.

The schedule of activities for the fifth session of the "Dubai Fitness Challenge", which will take place between October 29 and November 27, includes a comprehensive and diverse group of sports activities and events, with a focus on outdoor sports.

All participants of all ages and fitness levels will be able to enjoy free sports activities within three fitness villages in Kite Beach, Expo 2020 Dubai and Mushrif Park, in addition to 14 existing fitness centers. In residential and commercial complexes scattered throughout the city, in addition to many distinctive sporting events, and more than 5,000 live and virtual sports classes.
