“Cass” agrees to stabbing Ahmed Al-Kamali

The Court of Arbitration for Sport has approved the appeal submitted by the former president of the UAE Athletics Federation, Ahmed Al Kamali, regarding the financial fine imposed on him by the Integrity Committee of the International Association of Athletics Federations.

CAS stated in a press statement on its official website that Al-Kamali appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport on January 4, 2021, against the penalty imposed on him, suspending him for 6 months from any activity related to athletics, and imposing a fine of 5,000 Swiss francs against him.

She added, "The CAS arbitrators held a video meeting on July 1, and it was found that the gifts presented by Al-Kamali during the 2015 International Association of Athletics Federations board elections were of small material value and did not constitute a violation of the behavior of the candidates for the elections." Therefore, it was decided to cancel the fine imposed on him.”
