It's been one of the NHL's big leagues this year.

Jack Eichel has been sidelined with a neck injury since last season, which has stopped him from playing.

The 25-year-old has wanted to undergo surgery while Buffalo has wanted him to rehabilitate the injury in another way.

Both sides ended up on a collision course and Eichel was, among other things, deprived of his role as team captain.

But on Thursday, a trio became clear.

Eichel and a draft pick go to Vegas in exchange for forwards duo Peyton Krebs and Alex Tuch as well as a draft pick in next year's first round and a draft pick in the second round 2023.

In Vegas, Eichel becomes a teammate with, among others, Robin Lehner and William Karlsson.

Lehner has previously commented on Eichel's situation on social media where he is critical of how Eichel has been treated.

"NHL, is it good to have one of the best players of his generation away from the league?

His body his choice.

Do what is right, ”Lehner wrote.
