Halland's father reveals the long absence of his son from the stadiums

Alf Inge Haaland, father of Erling Haaland, the star of the Norwegian national team and the German club Borussia Dortmund, confirmed that his son is unlikely to return from injury before the end of this year.

"We have to see day by day if there is an improvement," Haaland's father told TV2 on Wednesday evening.

"It will be a bonus if he takes part in some matches before Christmas, but it is not certain."

Halland has been absent from Dortmund for two weeks due to a thigh injury, and he watched from the stands the match that his team lost to Ajax Amsterdam 1/3 on Wednesday evening in the Champions League, accompanied by his compatriot Magnus Carlsen, the world chess champion.
