“Lars Bylund was a person we all looked up to because of his way of being human.

He was an incredibly talented ice hockey player who had an incredible sense of play ", wrote former teammate Lars-Göran Nilsson on Facebook.

He represented Brynäs between 1959 and 1972. In total, there were seven Swedish Championship golds during that period.

"For me, it is very strange that he who has done so much for Brynäs has not had the shirt hoisted to the ceiling," writes Lars-Göran Nilsson.

Bylund also made 19 international appearances and played in the World Cup in 1966 when Tre Kronor finished fourth.

Lars Bylund turned 83 years old.
