Since Tuesday, Antonio Conte is officially the new coach of Tottenham.

In a statement, the London club announced that the contract of the 52-year-old Italian technician runs until 2023, with "an option to extend it".

Free since his departure from Inter Milan at the end of May, Conte succeeds the Portuguese Nuno Espirito Santo, who arrived this summer and fired on Monday while the Spurs, 8th in the Premier League, remain on a home correction, Sunday against Liverpool (0-3 ).

"Antonio has won Serie A titles, including a scudetto hat-trick with Juventus, in the Premier League [with Chelsea] and led the Italy team which he brought to the quarter-finals of Euro 2016", still writes Tottenham.

The Italian will try to wake up the team of Hugo Lloris, too inconstant for almost two years and the departure of the Argentinian Mauricio Pochettino.
