A news report stated today, Monday, that the Algerian Football Association officially objected to the appointment of

Samir Kazaz to manage the match between Burkina Faso and Niger in the fifth round of Group A matches in the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Algeria leads the first group with 10 points, ahead of Burkina Faso, before their decisive confrontation on November 16 at Mustafa Chaker Stadium in Blida, near the Algerian capital.

And the Algerian newspaper "An-Nahar" revealed on its website that the Algerian Federation submitted an official objection to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to appoint Kazaz to manage the Burkina Faso-Niger match scheduled for the Moroccan city of Marrakesh on November 12th.

She added that there are fears that tetanus will provide "protection" for the players of the Burkina Faso national team, which includes 9 players who are threatened with suspension, and thus absent from the Algeria match.

The Algerian-Moroccan relations are witnessing a state of tension in light of Algeria's severing of its diplomatic relations with Morocco due to what it described as "hostile acts" from Rabat against it.
