Lionel Messi has confirmed that he will return to live in Barcelona with his family when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires, and he would like to support the Spanish club through the position of coach.
Messi ended an era that lasted nearly 20 years in financially troubled Barcelona, and scored 672 goals in his shirt, a club record, to join Saint Germain this season on a free transfer for two years.

The 34-year-old Argentine striker said - in an interview with the Spanish newspaper "Sport" - "When everything is settled, we will go to live in Barcelona again, and our lives will be there."
He added, "This is what my wife wants, and I also want it. I do not know when my contract with Saint-Germain ends, but we will return to Barcelona to live."
"I have always said that I would love to help the club, and I would like to take over as coach at some point, and I don't know if I will achieve this in Barcelona or not. If it is possible, I would like to help again because I love this club, and I would like it to continue in good shape." And to continue to grow and remain one of the best clubs in the world.”
Barcelona, ninth in the Spanish league, sacked coach Ronald Koeman last week.
And last Friday, Messi was injured in Saint-Germain's 2-1 win over Lille in the French league, but coach Mauricio Pochettino hopes that the Argentine star will be ready to face Leipzig in the Champions League this week.
