Player fined $25,000 for throwing the ball into the stands

The NBA announced that it has fined Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant $25,000 for throwing the ball into the stands of Barclay Center Arena on Friday.

Durant finished the match against the Indiana Pacers (105-98) by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds in 37 minutes of play.

Referee Sean Wright considered that Durant's behavior warranted an expulsion, but he completed the match and said in this regard, "At the moment Durant acted, the observer who made the decision thought that the ball was not strong enough. But after reviewing the clip on the video, it was found that Durant hit the ball violently. He deserved to be fired."
