Djurgården is back on the winning track after the heavy 0-3 loss away against Gothenburg.

The 1-0 victory against Örebro was certainly not Djurgården's most convincing victory this season, but still three extremely important points in what was something of a fateful match like at Behrn arena.

For Djurgården, it was about not letting Malmö get too big an advantage in the Allsvenskan top.

Örebro, in turn, is in dire need of points to have a chance to avoid the Superettan next season.

Rib meeting by Eriksson

Nästjumbon Örebro started by standing up well against the guests.

But Djurgården got closer and closer and in the 35th minute Magnus Eriksson was a rib hit from the match's first goal.

However, the management goal would come.

Just before the break, a post found its way into Örebro's penalty area.

The ball bounced on both teammates and opponents before it found its way to Emmanuel Banda who shot in 1-0.

The second half was not a crackling story.

Örebro made their attempts to break the deadlock but failed to get a hole in Aleksandr Vasiutin, who was back between Djurgården's posts after his long-term injury.

"Can do better"

In the final minutes, Djurgården had his second rib hit when Jacob Une Larsson reached the top of a corner.

No goal that time but Djurgården still won 1-0 and is still one point behind Malmö FF in the Allsvenskan top with four rounds left.

- We are good enough to take three points today.

But we can do better and we will do that in the last matches.

We will put in top gear now, says Vasiutin to Discovery.

For Örebro, it looks dark.

The close team can be relegated to the Superettan already on Monday if Halmstad wins at home against AIK.

Halmstad, which is in a negative qualifying position, is ten points ahead of Örebro and has one match less played.

- It is clear that it looks tough but somewhere there are a few matches left.

It is also about standing straight back and making a good finish.

Partly for our own sake and partly for our supporters who have been there in wet and dry, says Örebro's Jiloan Hamad.
