Bundesliga relegated Werder Bremen has stopped the winning streak of front-runner FC St. Pauli.

The team of coach Markus Anfang fought for a 1: 1 (0: 0) in the north duel with the Hamburgers, but still lags behind its own claims with only one win from the last six games in the 2nd Bundesliga.

St. Pauli had to be content with one point after five wins in a row, but maintained the lead in the standings with 26 points.

Persecutor Jahn Regensburg (22) competes on Sunday (1.30 p.m. / in the live ticker for the 2nd Bundesliga and Sky) at the bottom of the table, FC Ingolstadt.

The competitors Schalke 04 (22) and 1. FC Nürnberg (21) opened the matchday on Friday with defeats.

Marvin Ducksch (62nd) brought Bremen into the lead, Finn Becker (67th) equalized for Hamburg.

Werder is only in the middle with 16 points.

The beginning had switched to four positions, including Jiri Pavlenka replacing Michael Zetterer in goal.

For the first time he offered Marvin Ducksch and Niclas Füllkrug in the starting XI as a double top.

Before the break, the duo provided the host's offensive highlights in the Weser Stadium, which was sold out for the first time during the corona pandemic with 42,100 spectators.

Füllkrug missed the best chance in the tenth minute. Front runner St. Pauli held back noticeably, initially relied on a strong defensive, offensive pinpricks were rare. After the break, Hamburg strengthened their attacking efforts with substitute Simon Makienok, but striker Guido Burgstaller failed from close range (55th). Werder cheered after an exemplary counterattack when Ducksch - from a suspicious position - duped the goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj. The video evidence confirmed the Bremen leadership. Only three minutes later, Burgstaller missed the equalizer from the spin, and a little later Becker did better with a deflected shot. The alleged winning goal for St. Pauli by Makienok was withdrawn after video evidence because of a handball (90. + 2).

Only one point against Aue

Hannover 96 missed the league break after moving into the DFB Cup round of 16.

Despite the lead against Erzgebirge Aue, the team of coach Jan Zimmermann did not get more than 1: 1 (1: 1).

After five games in a row without a win, Hanover is stuck in the lower half of the table with twelve points.

The point did not help Aue out of the table cellar (8) either.

Sebastian Kerk (4th) gave Hannover an early lead in front of 9,300 spectators, Aue tried to find an answer, but initially not necessarily enough in front of the opposing goal.

Only shortly before the break, Dimitrij Nazarov (45th + 1) equalized for the guests.

After the break, both teams met at eye level, the action initially took place over long stretches in midfield.

Dynamo Dresden has continued its negative series. Alexander Schmidt's team lost 0-1 (0-0) to SV Sandhausen and thus lost their fourth game in a row. With 13 points after twelve games, the Saxons are stuck in the lower half of the table. Thanks to Pascal Testroet's goal (50th), Sandhausen managed to jump from relegation place to 14th place (12 points) at least until Sunday.

At the beginning of the game, both teams acted wait and see.

But Dresden became bolder in the course of the first half and pressed on the lead.

The hosts were initially unsuccessful in the opposing penalty area.

Luca Herrmann hit the post (22nd), Christoph Daferner (34th) failed because of SVS keeper Patrick Drewes.

After the break, Testroet, who finished in the penalty area, put Sandhausen in the lead.

The guests then withdrew a little, Dresden found no solutions against the now more defensive SVS.
