PSG coach: Replacing Messi was a 'precautionary measure'

Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino said that replacing Lionel Messi during the Lille match was a "precautionary measure".

"He could not continue playing, and I hope it will not be a big deal," Argentine coach Pochino told the French sports newspaper, L'Equipe, referring to Messi.

Puccino added that he hopes that Messi will be ready for the Leipzig match in the Champions League next Wednesday.

And about the Lille meeting, Puccino said: "We won and we were the best in all respects, there is no doubt about that."

He criticized: "We must play better, such an offer is not good enough for us."

Paris Saint-Germain came from behind with a goal against its guest, Lille, to win 2-1 during the match that brought them together yesterday, Friday, in the twelfth round of the French Football League.

Lille advanced with a goal scored by Jonathan David in the 31st minute, and Paris Saint-Germain tied with a goal scored by Marquinhos in the 74th minute, before Angel Di Maria scored the second goal in the 88th minute.
