On October 30, the 19th Tibet Mountaineering Conference National Ski Mountaineering Invitational Tournament ended on the Luoduifeng Glacier at an altitude of more than 5,500 meters.

Athletes from Shandong, Qinghai, Liaoning and other places and 20 athletes from the Tibet team challenge themselves in the "third pole of the earth" to help the Beijing Winter Olympics.

This ski mountaineering invitational competition consists of two events: vertical race and sprint race, divided into male and female youth group and male and female adult group.

Among them, the starting point of the vertical racing track is 5522 meters above sea level, and the ending point is 5631 meters above sea level. The altitude difference is 109 meters, making it the highest vertical competition track in China.

In the competition, Awang Luochai, Tsering Ram, Yuzhen Ram, and Jin Yubo achieved good results.

In recent years, the Tibet Autonomous Region has continued to promote the development of cross-country skiing and ski mountaineering projects, and a number of outstanding young talents have also emerged.

The purpose of holding this competition is to allow more athletes to practice technical skills in a more realistic environment, to send more talents to international competitions, and to let more people understand skiing and mountaineering.
