Al-Ahly of Egypt signs an American player

Al-Ahly of Egypt announced the contract with the American Garrett Mwagatotia for one season to support the ranks of the first men's volleyball team during the new season.

Raouf Abdel Qader, Director General of Sports Activity in Al-Ahly, said that the player signed contracts to join Al-Ahly after passing the medical examination, in preparation for participating in the team’s team training, in preparation for playing the matches in the coming period.

He added, "The contract with the American professional came within the framework of the board's keenness, headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, to support the club's various teams with the best elements to compete for championships."

He explained, "The American player has great experience at the club level, as he previously played in several European leagues, the last of which was the Polish League."

With the USA volleyball team, Mwagatotia ranked third in the World Cup held in Japan in 2019, and he also participated with his country in the Summer Olympics in Tokyo 2020.
