Samuel Kroon gave the home team the lead after just over 20 minutes played.

The midfielder got the ball on the right edge, turned to the left, and finished distinctly at the first post.

Halmstad played in a controlled manner and created several clear goal chances.

Just minutes later, right-back Thomas Boakye had a great opportunity to make it 2-0 but the finish went high.

Instead, the second-placed Örebro brought life to the match.

Just before the break, Nahir Besara found Agon Mehmeti, who could easily hit 1-1 at the far post.

Even event

The second half was even and both teams were looking for a goal in pursuit of victory.

But no more goals were offered.

Halmstad was almost 2-1 in the end but the Örebro goalkeeper made a couple of nice saves and saved a point for ÖSK.

The result, however, means that the team is still at the bottom of the table.
