The national ski team is in Val Senales in northern Italy for a high altitude camp.

Charlotte Kalla, who has previously suffered from stomach problems, is also on site and she tells SVT Sport that her body feels good.

- The last three weeks have gone well.

It feels great that the body responds to exercise and recovery.

I have been grateful for that, she says.

- On the whole, I am satisfied.

Since then, there have been a few small notches along the way, but they are manageable.

I have had to build a strong and stable foundation.

I hope to be in good shape when the Olympics start in February.

This is where my focus lies.

"Eliminate disadvantage"

Charlotte Kalla does not yet have a ticket to the Olympics ready, and with just over a month left until the competition season begins, she is well aware that it will be a season without any favorites for her own part.

- It's not something I think about, but at the same time I have the opportunity to eliminate inferiority.

There will be no expectations of me, it's nice to focus even more on the training and the priorities I need to have before it's time for the competition season to start, says Kalla and continues:

- It will be a different calm and less focus that I need to put on, for example, the media, compared to those who have high expectations of delivering from the first moment.

It will be an advantage to be able to put the energy into training and recover well.

The World Cup season begins in Ruka on 26 November.
