FC Bayern Munich won the first meeting with long-term rivals Alba Berlin this season.

In the duel between the two national basketball leagues in the Euroleague, the German champions lost 69:82 (36:37) after a hard-fought game at home in front of 4658 spectators.

For Alba it was the fifth defeat in the seventh game in the premier class.

The best throwers from Berlin were Maodo Lo with 23 and Luke Sikma with 10 points, for the Munich team Darrun Hilliard scored the best with 25 and Nick Weiler-Babb with 16 points.

Alba coach Israel Gonzalez had to do without the injured Ben Lammers and Marcus Eriksson.

His team started out very nervous and forgave the first litters.

Thanks to good defensive work, the Berliners then fought their way into the game and took a 9: 4 lead.

But Alba still found it difficult to attack.

After a 0:10 run, the team ran after a deficit.

But Bayern also made a few mistakes.

At the beginning of the second quarter, the German champions equalized again at 23:23.

The game was now very even, Bayern mostly stayed in the lead, but Alba stayed on and took the lead back shortly before the break (34:33).

But whenever Alba was able to take a narrow lead, the Munich struck back.

In the third quarter, the hosts were back with seven points (46:53), but shortly before the final quarter they equalized again to 55:55.

In the last section, Bayern were able to maintain their lead until the end.
