Barcelona misses Fati's efforts because of the "right knee"

Barcelona announced today, Wednesday, that striker Ansu Fati will miss the team’s match against Rayo Vallecano in the eleventh stage of the Spanish League, due to a knee injury.

The Spanish international Fati, who signed a long-term contract with Barcelona a few days ago, was substituted 16 minutes before the end of the Clasico match against Real Madrid last Sunday due to an injury.

Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman had said during the press conference for the match against Rayo Vallecano that doubts were swirling around Fati's participation.

Fati did not appear in the list of players heading to Madrid to play the match, and Barcelona confirmed that he would not participate today.

Barcelona said in a statement on its website: "Ansu Fati suffers from pain in his right knee. He is not ready to participate, and his return depends on the speed of his recovery."

After an absence of ten months due to a knee injury, Fati returned to participation from the match that ended with Barcelona's victory over Levante on September 26.

Fati scored in that match and scored five other participations in all competitions this season, but he scored another lone goal, which came against Valencia ten days ago.

Fati scored a total of 15 goals in 49 games with Barcelona in all competitions since his first appearance with the team 26 months ago, a score that only Luis Suarez (21 goals), Antoine Griezmann (35 goals) and Messi (69 goals), have been surpassed. The three players are no longer in the Catalan team.

Koeman is also missing the efforts of Ousmane Dembele and Martin Braithwaite in today's match, and Pedri, Frenkie de Jong and Ronald Araujo are also suffering from injuries.
