A meager own goal lowered Ireland when they faced Blågult in the World Cup qualifiers last time.

But today they bounced back.

Already in the tenth minute, Megan Connolly broke free on the left wing and placed the lead goal behind the goalkeeper who in vain reached for the ball.

And despite the fact that a lot was about the guests, Finland was close to signing several times before Adelina Engman finally equalized.

Four minutes later, the visitors replicated - this time via Denise O'Sullivan who put the final score, 2-1.

The loss means that Finland missed the chance to join the group stage together with Sweden, which they will also face in the next round of the World Cup qualifiers.

This means that the position in Group A is unchanged after Slovakia took its first third after beating Georgia, and that Ireland won over Finland today.
