Tour de France champion gets golden residency

The Slovenian cyclist Tadi Bogachar, the star of the UAE cycling team, and the two-time Tour de France title holder, received a golden residence visa for the United Arab Emirates, which was received by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, in appreciation of his contributions and global achievements and his leadership of the Emirates team to the podiums in major sporting events.

Bogachar also succeeded in winning the last edition of the Emirates Tour, in addition to his strong performances and brilliance in international events and his honorable presence in all the famous cycling races.

In a press statement, Bogachar expressed his happiness at obtaining the golden residency, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the UAE and its pioneering role in appreciating the achievements and competencies in various fields, and its permanent sponsorship of talents and creators, and thanked the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and its distinguished initiative towards the elite athletes of the world.

In the end, Nasser Al Zaabi, Director of the Communications Office of the Abu Dhabi Council, presented the Council’s shield to Tadi Bogachar, in the presence of Mauro Gianetti, Director of the Emirates Team.
