Hwang Seon-woo, who reached the final in the 100m individual medley, the first event of his first World Cup stage, raced in lane 3.

On the unfamiliar 25m short course, it was not the main event, but individual medley, but Hwang Seon-woo was relentless.

Together with Daiya Seto and Seon-Woo Hwang of Lane 5, who won two World Championships individual medley medals, he was considered one of the best prospects, and he beat Matthew Seits in Lane 4, which is the main event in individual medley as well.

Hwang Seon-woo, who took the lead in the 50-meter backstroke section following the first 25-meter butterfly, allowed a comeback in the breaststroke, which was a weakness, but broke the current until the last freestyle, taking third place after Seto and Seits.

In a training event to refine his turn and gain experience, he won his first international medal on the international stage.

[Hwang Seon-woo / National Swimming Team: I am very happy to finish 3rd in the IM (individual medley) 100m, which is not the main event, and I am very happy and I want to put a good record by working hard up to the 100m freestyle (the main event) and the 200m freestyle the next day.]

In the 100m freestyle event, which is the main event, Hwang Seon-woo reached the final as the first overall and will challenge for the gold medal at dawn tomorrow (23rd).
