Juan Bernabé has defended himself from being racist after being fired by the Lazio Roma club.

This eagle trainer, the club's symbol, was suspended earlier this week, following Nazi salutes he made in front of a stand at the Olimpico stadium during a home match.

This Thursday, the Spaniard speaks of "misunderstanding" in El Mundo, to defend himself.

"I am on the right, from Vox [a political party on the far right of the Spanish political spectrum], but I am not a racist," he proclaims.

Hard to believe it when hearing him sing "Duce, Duce", the nickname of Mussolini while making the Nazi salute in front of supporters, known to be far right, delighted.
