The background to today's decision from the Ice Hockey Association is that Boden and Karlskrona have applied for an exemption to be outside the current TV agreement in the hockey arena.

They would rather broadcast the matches themselves, which has led to several opponents choosing to boycott the events against the mentioned teams.

The decisions taken after a meeting on Tuesday evening with RF are a first step in resolving the conflict.

- It feels important in this situation to now be able to inform the clubs in Hockeyettan that the matches will now be played.

The focus must be on playing hockey for all players, leaders, officials and not least for all supporters who love ice hockey.

With that said, there are many issues to sort out alongside the ice and a first step is the external legal investigation that we initiate, says Anders Larsson, chairman of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.
