Most Swedish players in the qualifiers in Florida have come here by qualifying for the first qualifying stage that was played in August.

But three of the Swedes have come here via various shortcuts.

Maja Stark, who became a professional this summer, has already won two European Tour competitions and is in place thanks to her world ranking on the amateur side before she became a professional.

And Beatrice Wallin, who is still an amateur, and Linn Grant are two of three players in place, qualified thanks to their ranking from College games.

- It is of course a great opportunity for me to get directly to stage 2, even if I feel like I have played stage 1 would surely have taught me a lot about playing just such qualifiers, says Grant, to the LPGA Tour's website, before that waiting.

As many as 179 players with the same dreams of a haunting LPGA card are showing up today.

In addition to the dream of getting all the way to the LPGA Tour, there are chances to get on the Symetra Tour tour in this qualifier.

Everyone has the same chances, but of course there are some who are expected to fight in advance for the 45 places that are available for further qualifiers in December.

Linn Grant is definitely one of the names mentioned as favorites in the starting field, both after her successes as an amateur and with the victory just over a week ago at LET Access in France.

- Being ranked in the top as an amateur and in college has given me a little self-confidence for this week and for the future.

But it's hard to get here, it's easy to think that it's like a regular competition, that you go out to win.

But at the same time, you know that it's about being among the top 45.

So I will try to be in the present and think about what I can do tomorrow and then take it day by day.

But it's still a little scary, says Grant about the conditions before the qualifying competition.

In the final stage of the qualifier, which will be decided in Alabama in December, the 45 best from qualifier stage 2, which is now being played, will be joined by players low ranked on the LPGA Tour, who will try to keep their card.

In addition, top-ranked players from the Symetra Tour, the European Tour and the World Rankings will be present in Alabama.

Thus, several other Swedes than the ten who play this week may join, for example the talent and Symetra tour player Frida Kinhult.
