Wales Football Association is the first football entity to sign the "Muslim Needs" charter.

The Football Association of Wales signed the Muslim Sports Charter, becoming the first football agency to sign the charter.

The charter requires an obligation to recognize the needs of Muslims for football players, administrators and spectators at matches.

The Wales Federation aims to become fully accredited within the Muslim Sports Charter, which was launched at the initiative of the British "Stars Sports" Foundation, to further strengthen the principle of zero tolerance for any kind of discrimination.

"We are committed to creating an environment and culture that supports all faiths in the football family in Wales," said Jason Webber, Director of Equality, Diversity and Integrity at the Football Association of Wales.

He added in statements published by the British news agency "PA Media": "A person's religion and belief should not constitute barriers to him, and support must be provided to everyone in an inclusive environment to be who they are."

He continued, "We believe that football represents an arena to which everyone should feel a sense of belonging, and the signing of the charter brings us closer to achieving this vision."
