The Olympic Committee honors 34 national sports leaders

Yesterday, the National Olympic Committee honored 34 national sports leaders who held sports positions at the continental and international levels, in many federations concerned with individual and team sports and sports for people of determination.

The honoring came during the Strategic Partners Forum organized by the Committee in Dubai, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprises, President of the General Sports Authority, First Vice President of the National Olympic Committee and Head of the Executive Office, Secretary General of the Authority Saeed Abdul Ghaffar, and Engineer Azza bint Suleiman Al-Amin Assistant General for Administrative and Financial Affairs of the Olympic Committee, and a number of national sports leaders, athletes and representatives of the media.

In a speech during the forum, Al Falasi expressed the extent of pride in the presence of the nation's sons in the continental and international sports federations, as they are one of the elements of soft power and sports diplomacy.

He said: "The owners of continental and international positions in the sports federations are ambassadors for the sport of the Emirates. We wish them success and success in their tasks and actively contribute to enhancing the status and presence of their federations and presenting an honorable image of the people of the Emirates."

On the other hand, Bint Suleiman announced the National Olympic Academy's agenda for the period 2021-2024, which will start in early November until the end of December 2024.

The honor included the sons of the homeland holding continental and international positions.
