It was a match with two faces.

Old Trafford boiled down to anticipation when the group stage match against Atalanta in the Champions League kicked off.

In the first half, however, it was the guests from Bergamo who delivered.

2-0 to Atalanta in the first

Davide Zappacosta found Mario Pasalic who could roll in 1-0 from a meter away in the 15th minute.

Barely a quarter of an hour later, it was time again for Victor Lindelöf and the United defense to capitulate again when Atalanta got the corner.

Merih Demiral came up perfectly between Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire and nodded in 2-0 to the Italians.

Rashford goal scorer

The home crowd bowed out United at the end of the first half and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looked confused.

The Norwegian probably said something to his team at half-time who took the plunge;

in the second half, Manchester United was a completely different team.

Atalanta's Josip Ilicic struck a 30 meter free kick home 53 minutes into the match. 2 - 0 for the home team.

Rashford was forced to leave the pitch with a suspected injury;

came in both Edinson Cavani and Paul Pogba, who replaced Scott McTominay.

Ronaldo decided

A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by Harry Maguire.

In the 81st minute, United tried a corner variant that failed;

Luke Shaw hit a perfect post that tickled Cristiano Ronaldo's forehead.

3-2 to United and Old Trafford exploded.

United withdrew from Atalanta's attempt to equalize in the final stages of the match and took their second win in this year's Champions League group stage.
