Thomas Letsch is confident that Vitesse can book a good result at home on Thursday in the Conference League match with Tottenham Hotspur.

The German coach and the Arnhem team face a team where many top players are missing.

Tottenham manager Nuno Espírito Santo attaches more importance to the upcoming league game with West Ham United and leaves with Harry Kane, Lucas Moura, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Eric Dier, Son Heung-min, Tanguy Ndombele, Oliver Skipp, Cristian Romero, Sergio Reguilón and Emerson Royal quite a few key players at home.

"Although the focus of the 'Spurs' is mainly on the Premier League and you don't know exactly who will start with them, they have a lot of quality," Letsch said at a press conference on Wednesday.

"It is up to us to find the solutions and the spaces and to keep the defense closed. As far as the latter is concerned, fortunately we have been conceding fewer goals lately."

Letsch tastes self-confidence at Vitesse.

"We believe in ourselves and in our plan. It's about the mix of three elements: enjoying, fighting and following the plan. If we do this well, I'm convinced we have a chance."

'Tomorrow my dream will come to life

Vitesse will be supported by 24,000 supporters on Thursday.

It means that the Gelderlanders are playing in a sold out stadium for the first time since 2014.

Letsch is looking forward to it.

"The supporters will be behind it from the first minute, especially after the derby win," he said.

"We want to bring the same energy as against Stade Rennais, Feyenoord and NEC. Then everything is possible."

Striker Nikolai Baden Frederiksen, who scored the only goal of the game in the Gelderland derby against NEC on Sunday, also said he was looking forward to the ambiance.

"It will be fun. As a player you dream of playing against a top team in a full stadium. Tomorrow that dream will come to life."

Vitesse-Tottenham Hotspur starts on Thursday at 6.45 pm.

After two matches, the English have four points in group G of the Conference League, just like Stade Rennais.

Vitesse follows with three points and NS Mura is still scoreless.
