PSG got exactly the start they wanted when Kylian Mbappe set the lead in the ninth minute.

But Leipzig did not give up.

A post shot in the first half was followed by an equalizer.

A nice attacking play ended with a precise pass to André Silva, who only needed to put the wide side to 1-1.

It did not end there for Leipzig, in the second half came 2-1 through Nordi Mukiele.

Unfortunately for the away team, however, a certain Argentine would come to life.

Messi stepped forward

With Neymar injured, it was the big star Leo Messi who decided the match for PSG.

First, he equalized to 2-2 and with just over a quarter left, the home team was awarded a penalty kick.

Leo Messi stepped forward and struck with a panenka penalty when he chipped the ball into goal.

3-2 PSG which was also the end result.

It could have been more for the home team but Mbappe burned a penalty kick in extra time.

Emil Forsberg was given a chance to change things around.

PSG now tops their group ahead of Manchester City.
