AS Saint-Etienne has not finished with Stéphane Ruffier.
According to
L'Equipe
, the former emblematic goalkeeper of the Greens, between 2011 and 2021, will attack the club before the industrial tribunal, after the failure of an attempt at conciliation.
The former international with the three selections should claim up to 5 million euros, while ASSE had not planned to spend more than 2 million in this case.
The Saint-Etienne club announced on January 4 that they had broken Ruffier's contract, six months before its term, citing "the attitude of the player who undermined the institution".
The doorman, now 35 years old, then put an end to his career to return to his native Basque Country, and become an educator with Aviron Bayonnais.
