The 22-year-old Gakpo fell in the 76th minute in the World Cup qualifier against Latvia and was replaced by Wout Weghorst.

The PSV attacker was kept aside as a precaution for last Monday's international match against Gibraltar.

According to the KNVB, he had complaints "that fit with a concussion".

There was much to say about Gakpo's outburst.

The English referee Andy Madley did not allow a doctor to immediately examine the Orange attacker, while the game is immediately stopped in the event of a possible head injury.

The KNVB has therefore asked FIFA for clarification.

Gakpo already trained with the group at PSV on Thursday and is also part of the match selection for Saturday's home match against PEC Zwolle.

It is not clear whether the attacker will also appear at kick-off.

Gakpo has been the trendsetter at PSV so far.

The left winger was accurate five times this season and also prepared six hits for the Eindhoven team, which also earned him a base place in the Dutch national team.
