Officially.. Algeria plays its World Cup qualifiers match in Cairo

Algeria's Sports Minister Abdelrazzaq Sabbak confirmed today that the match in which his country will meet its host Djibouti in the fifth round of the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup will be played in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

Sbakaq revealed, in statements to local media, that the match will be held on November 10, pointing out that the Djibouti Football Association is the one who requested the transfer of the match to Cairo.

Djamel Belmadi, the coach of the Algerian national team, had expressed his great happiness to face Djibouti in Egypt, as he keeps beautiful memories in reference to his crowning with the team the 2019 African Cup of Nations title.

On the other hand, Sebakk stressed the Algerian state's commitment to the success of the 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games scheduled in the western city of Oran between June 25 and July 5 2022, explaining that all sports facilities will be ready to host this important sporting event.
