The milestone of eight hundred hits is also getting closer for the 36-year-old Portuguese, who remains hungry for success.
"Another victory, another step closer to our goal. It was a historic night for the Portuguese colors," Ronaldo wrote on Instagram after the game in Faro.
Ronaldo made his tenth international hat-trick against Luxembourg, making him the international record holder.
During the previous international period, Ronaldo already broke the record of Iranian Ali Daei, who scored 109 goals for his country.
The Portuguese star now has 115 goals.
Adding in the goals for his club, Ronaldo has scored 795 times.
With that, the milestone of 800 goals is in sight.
