The Saudi national football team led the second group in the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, after its victory over its Chinese guest 3-2 today, Tuesday, in the fourth round, which also saw Australia beat Japan 2-1, and Oman beat Vietnam 3-1.

The goals of the Saudi team were scored by Sami Al-Naji (15 and 38) and Firas Al-Braikan (73), while the goals of the Chinese team Aloysio dos Santos (46), and "Wu Zi" in the last minute of the second half.

The Saudi team raised its score to 12 points at the top of the standings, 3 points ahead of the Australian team, and the balance of the Chinese team stopped at 3 points in fifth place before the last.

In the second match, the Australian team fell into the trap of losing 1-2 to its host, Japan.

The Japanese team advanced with a goal scored by "Oh Tanaka" (8), and the Australian team equalized through Edem Hrujtic (69), before Aziz Behich, a player for the Australian national team, scored an own goal by his team (86).

The balance of the Australian team stopped at 9 points in second place, while the Japanese team raised its score to 6 points in fourth place.

The goals of the Oman national team were scored by Issam Al-Subhi (45), Mohsen Jawhar Al-Khalidi (49) and Salah Al-Yahani (63 from a penalty kick), while the goal of the Vietnam national team was scored by Tin Lin Nayoon (39).

The Omani team raised its score to 6 points in third place, and the Vietnam team remained without a score at the bottom of the standings.

In the first group, a positive 2-2 draw overshadowed the match between the UAE national team and its Iraqi guest.

This comes at a time when Iran maintained its top spot in Group A, after imposing a 1-1 draw against its guest, South Korea.

In another match, Lebanon defeated its Syrian counterpart 3-2 in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

At Zabeel Stadium in Al-Wasl Club, the first half ended with the progress of the Emirati Al-Abyad with a goal scored by Cayo Kanido Korea (33), and in the second half, Amir Al-Ammari equalized for the Lions of Al-Rafidain (74), then Ayman Hussein scored the second goal for Iraq one minute before the end. In stoppage for the match, Ali Ahmed Mabkhout scored the equalizer for the Emirates.
