Reigning champion Frölunda easily defeated IFK Helsinki 2-0 at home.

Ryan Lasch gave the Gothenburgers the lead in the middle of the first period in powerplay.

And just under three minutes later, Christian Folin increased when he put a 2-0 in the cross with a quick shot.

Helsinki struggled to turn the match around but did not have much to oppose an effective Frölunda who eventually won 4-1.

Frölunda, who has won the CHL the last two seasons they have played, wins the group and is ready for the playoffs.

- I think we play well today.

We are stable.

In that is the situation in we are in the playoffs so we handle it well, says Roger Rönnberg in SVT.

Växjö and Skellefteå badly out

Växjö has a nervous evening when, despite a 3-2 victory against TPS tonight, they do not have the advancement in their own hands.

For Växjö to move on, Sparta Prague must win against Bremerhaven later tonight.

It is also nervous for Skellefteå as this evening who needed victory away against Tappara.

They had a 2-1 lead after the first period but at the end of the second Tappara equalized.

In the middle of the third period, Skellefteå got in 3-2 through Jonathan Pudas but after a video review, Stefan Loibl was judged to be in the goal area and the goal was ruled out.

Instead, Tappara made it 3-2 in powerplay with seven minutes left of the match.

Tappara eventually won 4-2 and now Eisbaren Berlin must beat Lugano tomorrow for Skellefteå to move on.

Both Leksand and Rögle are already ready for the playoffs.
