Albin Ekdal and Kristoffer Olsson have been given in Blågult's central midfield, but when they meet Georgia away in an important World Cup qualifier in November, Ekdal is suspended.

The reason for this is that the 32-year-old was warned in a rowdy situation in the second half.

-

  I was surprised.

I do not think I'm doing anything special.

I back away from the situation, I do not say a word, says Ekdal.

The midfielder had a chat with the German referee after the match.

-

I got the feeling that the judge agreed a bit.

He did not apologize but I got the feeling that he might also think it was a bit exaggerated, he says.

Janne Andersson that Ekdal is missing in the next match:

-

Albin is important to us, so I would have liked to have had him.

That's a shame, of course.

As Ekdal is suspended against Georgia, he is said to be available against Spain.

However, several important players are still just a yellow card from being suspended.

These are Emil Krafth, Victor Nilsson Lindelöf, Ludwig Augustinsson, Viktor Claesson, Kristoffer Olsson and Alexander Isak.

The same goes for Marcus Danielson, but he is likely to miss the next national team gathering due to Chinese quarantine rules.
