A basketball player refuses to receive the Corona vaccine.. What was his fate?

The Brooklyn Nets will make a collective decision regarding the fate of its playmaker Kyrie Irving regarding his absence from the home games of the new season of the NBA, due to the fact that he has not yet received a vaccine against the Corona virus, ESPN's official website reported.

The site indicated that the club's management will hold a meeting in the presence of the two stars, Kevin Durant and James Harden.

Together, they will have to choose whether to allow Irving to play only away matches this season, half the number of matches.

And 95% of the NBA players received the vaccine against the “Covid-19” virus eight days before the start of the season, and Irving is still insisting on not vaccinating.

And in light of the rules imposed by New York City that professional athletes must be vaccinated so that they can participate with their teams in the matches scheduled on their land, Irving will be outside the accounts of the Nets and his Canadian coach, Steve Nash, in the matches scheduled in Brooklyn, unless he reverses his decision and receives the vaccine.

The League also established a very restrictive health protocol for the unvaccinated and decided that those who miss matches for this reason will have their wages reduced.

Irving's absence from the Nets will not be limited to matches scheduled at home, but will be prevented from participating with the team in his visits to the neighboring stadium New York Knicks and to the Golden State Warriors stadiums in San Francisco and the Staples Center, which the neighbors share the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers due to similar laws imposed in the two cities.

Irving participated for the first time in the group exercises for the Nets, after a decision was issued on Friday by the city authorities, in which he considers that training sessions of this type are held in a private closed place and therefore do not violate the vaccination protocol against the virus, unlike matches.

"We know he won't play home matches. We will definitely have to play without him this year. It just depends on when, where and how many matches," Nash commented on Sunday after his team's training session.

He added, "We are just trying to deal with the situation. A new decision was issued on Friday and here we are," referring to Irving's ability to participate in the team's exercises after he was excluded from it, explaining, "We are trying to look at the whole picture, in the short term. At the moment, I'm not sure that We have the answers. We're just trying to reintegrate him on the training pitch and get him back into the right physical condition, and then we'll make the decisions going forward."

The Nets are certainly hoping for a new change in the vaccination protocol, similar to what happened Friday with regard to training, so that he can rely on Irving, and he said, "We are assuming he will not be available for home games. Everything can change, no one knows. It's The city executive can change. Anything can change. We're just trying to stay flexible and open and find out as the days go by because things change here every half day."

Even with Irving losing several games, the Nets remain among the favorites to compete in the Eastern Province with the presence of Durant, the 2014 NBA Player of the Year and two-time winner with the Warriors, and Harden, the 2018 Player of the Year award and the league's top scorer in three seasons.

The Nets begin the new season on the 19th of this year at the Milwaukee Bucks stadium.
