The list of teams qualified for the 2023 Rugby World Cup is becoming clearer.

Uruguay, winner of the United States on Saturday, secured their ticket to the finals of the competition.

The Teros will find, in Pool A, the French host but also New Zealand and Italy.

South Americans have come a long way.

Beaten 19-16 in the first leg, they finally made short work of the Eagles (34-15) in the return match in Montevideo.

Uruguay will thus be able to play its third World Cup in a row, the fifth in its history.

Canadian bad surprise

The Americans, for their part, will have a chance to make up for it, on condition of beating Chile, surprise striker Saturday from Canada (33-24), during the draft round, scheduled for July 2022. For the Canadians it is a real disillusionment .

Their country will indeed miss a Rugby World Cup for the first time.
