For his part, the Secretary-General of the Emirates Rugby Federation, Mohammed Al Zaabi, said: "The achievement is the result of great efforts and integrated collective work, whether from the Board of Directors of the Federation, headed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, or members of the Board of Directors, the technical and administrative bodies and all the players, and the exciting The Asian Championship was canceled due to the Corona virus, and other championships were created, and there are five regions on the continent, and the champions of these regions will gather in the Asian Championship.”

Member of the Federation’s Board of Directors and Head of Mission, Mohamed Shaker, said: “We are very happy with this achievement, which culminated in years of effort and sweat, to bring Emirati rugby to the fore. All the participating teams were strong, and everyone wants the lead, especially the Qatar team, which is the leader, and also Iran, which appeared strong at the level of men and women, and I think it is a special step for other steps and greater ambitions.”
The captain of the UAE national team, Khaled Al-Junaibi, expressed his great happiness with the achievement and said: “Our leadership taught us the first place, which is always our motto, even if we did not succeed in previous tournaments, and winning the West Asian Championship represents a great morale and motivation, before the World Cup qualifiers, the month of Ramadan.” Next, this tournament will be a starting point for UAE rugby at the global level.”
