He no longer believes in Santa Claus.
Richard McLaren recently revealed that.
In his new case, the Canadian lawyer and meticulous investigator of international sport is once again dealing with one of the hypocritical networks of unscrupulous and affirmative figures who shamelessly contradict the principles of Santa Claus: The bad guys were rewarded and the good guys were passed over in the boxing world association .
Before that, his reports revealed, among other things, the Russian state doping and initiated the end of the reign of terror of weightlifting president Tamas Ajan.
The question of whether the good or the bad wins depends only on the people involved, he says.
And of course the question of whether the bad will one day come to light, too.
He loves sport, admits McLaren, which is probably why, at the age of well over seventy, he still takes on assignments for which he has to rummage through the sport-political filth anew.
One would like to call out to him: Don't let up, Professor!
May he appear in their nightmares to all corrupt sports officials!
