On the other hand, in the women's 200m freestyle, Rio Shirai, a fourth-year student at Toyo University, won the Tokyo Games for the fourth consecutive time.

The Japan Student Championship held at Tokyo Tatsumi International Swimming Pool in Koto-ku, Tokyo was held on the 9th and the 3rd day of the competition.



Of these, Ikee, a third-year student at Nihon University, participated in the Women's 100m Butterfly as a representative of the Tokyo Olympics.



Ikee, who has a strong commitment to this event, such as setting the world's fastest time three years ago, passed the qualifying in first place overall.



In the final race, my strength was not fully restored, and I had to swim side by side in the swim immediately after the start, which was an issue, but I got out of the race with a relaxed swim and turned back in 1st place.



However, just before the finish, he was overtaken by a player in the next lane and finished second with only 0.01 difference.



The time was 58 seconds 63 seconds.



Ikee did not achieve the double crown in the individual event following the women's 50-meter freestyle.



In addition, Rio Shirai, a 4th year student at Toyo University, participated in the women's 200m freestyle, showing a powerful swim that never gave up the lead from the start, leading half the body to 2nd place and swimming for 1 minute. He won the tournament for the fourth consecutive time with a time of 59.94 seconds.



Shirai, who is also the captain of the team, said, "I didn't have any good races, but I think I was able to show my willingness to participate in the Olympics in this event."
