The captain of the Argentina national team and Paris Saint-Germain club, Lionel Messi, has excluded the Egyptian star and Liverpool player, Mohamed Salah, from the list of nominations that he will submit to choose the player who will be crowned the Golden Ball award this year.

Messi also excluded, according to his statements, published by the French magazine "France Football", Cristiano Ronaldo, the Manchester United striker, to crown that award.

Lionel Messi said: "I will choose two of my teams, to vote for them in the race to crown the Ballon d'Or, and they are Kylian Mbappe and Neymar."

He added, "After that comes Robert Lewandowski, the Bayern Munich striker, who spent a great season, and Karim Benzema, the Real Madrid player, who also appeared wonderfully."

It is noteworthy that "France Football" magazine announced, on Friday, the names of the nominees for the award for the best player in the world for the year 2021, from the list of 30 players.
