A crisis in the Handball World Cup after the invitation of the Egyptian Al-Ahly president and ignoring Zamalek

In a telephone interview on the Egyptian “Koura Every Day” program, Hossam Al-Nasr, head of the Media Committee for the Club Handball World Cup, confirmed that the organizing committee sent an invitation to the president of Zamalek Club to attend the opening ceremony, and Hossam said: “All club heads, heads of missions and delegations of the participating teams sent us. They have an official invitation from the organizing country and the International Handball Federation."
The handball team of Zamalek, the African champion, will meet Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Handball World Cup, today, Wednesday, at the gymnasium in King Abdullah City in Jeddah.
On the other hand, the CEO of Zamalek Club, Hussein Al-Samri, explained that Hussein Labib, the head of the committee in charge of the administration of El-Obeid, did not receive an invitation to attend the opening ceremony of the World Handball Championship, in which the white hand team participates.
Al-Samri added, during a telephone interview on the Egyptian “Evening On Time” program: “The president of the Zamalek club did not receive any invitation to attend the opening of the World Cup, but the team’s failure to attend the opening ceremony has nothing to do with not sending an invitation to the club’s president, but because the car that was supposed to Move players did not come!".
The CEO continued his intervention, saying: “The president of the International Handball Federation is responsible for sending the invitations, and Captain Hussein Labib did not invite as he called others. His club is participating in the tournament.
On the other hand, a source in the International Handball Federation revealed the reason why Hussein Labib, president of Zamalek club, was not invited to attend the opening ceremony of the World Cup for Clubs in Saudi Arabia, "Super Globe".
The source said, in statements to the Egyptian “Bulwat” website: “The President of the International Handball Federation, Dr. Hassan Mustafa, has the right to invite some personalities to attend such international events,” indicating that the reason for the attendance of Al-Khatib and Hassan Hamdi was that they were personally invited by the President of the International Handball Federation. .
He added, "There is no protocol that forces the International Federation or its president to invite the heads of the clubs participating in the tournaments, and the matter is in coordination with the organizing committee."
