It came as a shock when the team captain of Premier League newcomer Brentford, ended his national team career.

A door that will remain closed.

But a door that may open in the future leads back to Malmö FF.

- When I move home one day, it may be tricky that I have such a close relationship with their ultras and the Malmö culture itself, says Jansson.

But when the moving load carries back home, he does not yet know.

- I understand that when I get older it gets closer and closer.

But at the same time I am a place in life in football where I perform against the best in the world, in the best league in the world.

It feels like a waste to plan to move home now.

The only thing I know is that I want to perform at a high level the day I move home.

"Almost like being a drug addict"

The grandstand culture is something that the midfielder turns to when he needs a mood booster.

- It is almost as if you are a drug addict of grandstand culture and songs.

I am almost more a supporter-Pontus than the football player Pontus, says Jansson.

- I have always said that I should be myself, and not change.

It's a big part of me, grandstand culture, fans, singing and being a supporter.
