Leipzig has had a tough start to the season and had only won one of the first five league matches before Saturday's meeting.

Then came a long-awaited three-pointer for Leipzig who did not show any pardon.

Led by French midfielder Christopher Nkunku (two goals and one assist), they were able to win comfortably 6-0.

Emil Forsberg scored his second goal of the season when he coldly sent in 4-0 on penalties after the hour of play.

Leipzig, second in the table last year, have a long way to go before they can get involved in a top battle.

After six rounds, the team is in tenth place, nine points behind league leader Bayern Munich.
