Schmidt: 'That is simply the fate of a trainer'

PSV coach Roger Schmidt's substitution policy has often been the subject of discussion in recent weeks.

In front of the ESPN camera, the German explains what he thinks about it.

"Whether they are good substitutions is always completely dependent on the result. If you win, they are good substitutions, otherwise they are bad substitutions. Everyone can talk about the decisions of the coach, but in the end I have to make the decisions during the game That is the fate of a trainer," said Schmidt.

Feyenoord will play against NEC in their own Kuip tonight.

The team from Rotterdam seems to have regained the good form of the first games with a big 4-0 win against PSV and a solid 3-1 victory over Heerenveen.

The visitors from Nijmegen are doing well as PhD students.

NEC is just below the left row with eight points from six games.

a few seconds ago

FC Utrecht will take on PEC Zwolle in its own Galgenwaard.

The visitors scored the first goal of the season against Sparta Rotterdam last Wednesday, and the first point was also taken.

Has PEC finally got it right or will FC Utrecht shoot the Zwollenaren even further into the relegation concerns?

a few seconds ago

At 6.45 pm the match between Vitesse and Fortuna Sittard will take place in Arnhem.

The Limburgers would like to break the negative spiral tonight.

In the last four games Fortuna took only one meager point.

Vitesse's start to the season can be called especially variable.

After the 4-1 loss against FC Twente, FC Groningen was won 1-0 in a flawed game on Tuesday.

a few seconds ago

Ajax will take on FC Groningen at home tonight.

The reigning national champion is in an excellent flow.

In the last four competition matches Ajax scored 21 times and did not concede a single goal.

The visitors started the season with a win, but have not won a game since.

a few seconds ago

We start this Saturday with Willem II against PSV.

The visitors from Eindhoven barely won in Deventer last Wednesday due to a goal from captain Marco van Ginkel.

Willem II has had a more than excellent start to the season, after the 4-0 defeat against Feyenoord in the first game of the season, no match was lost.

The Tilburgers are therefore in a nice third place.
